Regular Season Round 22: Buffaloes - Catfish 95-81

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Buffaloes as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Buffaloes defeated 6th ranked Catfish in Hanoi 95-81. They outrebounded Catfish 50-33 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Buffaloes players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American Anthony January (204-1993, college: CSUSB, agency: Interperformances) had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Nigerian forward Udun Osakue (198-1992, college: SF State, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 20 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. Four Buffaloes players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Joshua Keyes (201-1995, college: Muskingum, agency: PBAplayers Agency) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 blocks and his fellow American import guard Brachon Griffin (185-1992, college: ECSU) scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Catfish at the other side keeps the sixth place with ten games lost. Catfish will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Buffaloes will try to continue on its current victory against seventh ranked Dragons at Danang.
