Regular Season Round 6: Pythons - T-REX 91-68

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Pythons (4-3) smashed at home 6th ranked T-REX (4-3) 91-68 on Sunday. They outrebounded T-REX 46-33 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pythons looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Brian Garrett (193, college: CS Monterey) scored 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Sarion McGee (203, college: John A.Logan) chipped in 17 points and 18 rebounds during the contest (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Garrett is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four Pythons players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Tevis Robinson (198-1995, college: JWU, FL) with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Avery Scharer (185-1986, college: Shoreline CC) scored 16 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Pythons maintains fourth position with 4-3 record, which they share with T-REX and Devil Rays. Pythons will meet Thunders (#8) in the next round. T-REX will play against the league's leader Tigers (#1) and hope to secure a win.
