Regular Season Round 5: Mammoth - Thunders 61-96

Another interesting game for Thunders (2-3) which played on the court of 7th ranked Mammoth (1-4). Eighth ranked Thunders crushed hosts 96-61. Thunders dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Mammoth's 30. They outrebounded Mammoth 55-41 including a 39-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Thunders players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Mammoth's players. American guard Aaron Williams (198-1991, college: Chicago St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners and Polish Robert Kowalczyk (202-1995) chipped in 21 points, 23 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Thunders players scored in double figures. Thunders' coach P. Prasarnkaew felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cholasit Kitbumroong (-2000) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Alex Smith (201-1988, college: BCU) scored 4 points and 18 rebounds. Thunders moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Mammoth dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Eagles. Thunders will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Mammoth will play against SWU (#5) to get more than just one victory in their record.
