Regular Season Round 5: Kings - Eagles 58-79

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Eagles and bottom-ranked Kings had identical 0-4 record. But Kings were not able to use a home court advantage and were crushed by the opponent from 79-58 on Saturday night. Eagles dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kings' 22. Eagles forced 19 Kings turnovers and outrebounded them 53-41 including 18 on the offensive glass. Patrick Tchuente nailed 26 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Filipino guard Christian Calaguio (185-1975) accounted for 16 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. The former international swingman Peeranat Semmesuk (195-1995) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and Marlon Monte added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for Kings in the defeat. Eagles (1-4) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Mammoth. It was Kings' fifth loss in a row. Kings at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with five games lost. Eagles will meet league's second-placed Wave in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kings will play against Devil Rays (#4) and hope to get finally their first victory.
