Regular Season Round 13: Catfish - Saigon Heat 72-79

VBA top team - Heat (6-1) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Catfish (2-4) in Can Tho 79-72. They outrebounded Catfish 48-37 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 23 rebounds. International power forward Phu Vinh Nguyen (203-1998) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American center DeAngelo Hamilton (203-1990, college: WSU) answered with 7 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and the other American import guard Brachon Griffin (185-1992, college: ECSU) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Catfish. Catfish's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Heat have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 6-1 record. Catfish at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Heat are looking forward to face league's second-placed Dolphins in Nha Trang in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Catfish will play at home against Wings and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
