Regular Season Round 13: Dragons - Dolphins 76-86

Bottom-ranked Dragons is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their eighth consecutive match to third ranked Dolphins (6-2) 86-76. Dolphins dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Dragons' 42. They outrebounded Dragons 60-36 including a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. Center Dominique Tham (195-1996, college: Mount Olive) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and forward Robert Sampson (203-1992, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 19 points and 22 rebounds. Sampson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side point guard Jermaine Marrow (183-1997, college: Hampton) responded with 28 points and 7 rebounds and JR Holder (198-1994, college: Jacksonville) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Dolphins. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Buffaloes. Dragons lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. Dolphins will play against league's leader Heat in Saigon in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dragons will have a break next round.
