Regular Season Round 4: SWU - Wave 98-103

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated SWU (3-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Wave (4-0) 103-98. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of SWU. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Wave dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to SWU's 46. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists. British center Morakinyo Williams (209-1988, college: Citadel) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Filipino point guard James Martinez (170-1987) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 assists. Ukrainian swingman Sergii Pryimak (204-1996, agency: BIG) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds and Filipino Argel Mendoza added 21 points and 10 assists respectively for lost side. Five Wave and four SWU players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Wave have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Tigers. SWU at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. They share the position with Devil Rays. Wave is looking forward to face league's leader Tigers in Bangkok in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SWU will play on the road against T-REX in Nakhon Ratchasima and is hoping to win this game.
