Regular Season Round 8: Buffaloes - Dolphins 60-97

The most important game in the last round took place in Hanoi between second ranked Buffaloes (3-2) and fourth ranked Dolphins (3-2) on Sunday night. Buffaloes were crushed by Dolphins at home 97-60. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Buffaloes. They outrebounded Buffaloes 51-28 including a 37-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dolphins shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 51.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Madarious Gibbs (185-1993, college: Texas Southern) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 5 rebounds and 16 assists and center Dominique Tham (195-1996, college: Mount Olive) who added 21 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Dolphins players scored in double figures. Guard RJ Smith (198-1997, college: MSSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Anthony January (204-1993, college: CSUSB, agency: Interperformances) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dolphins moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Buffaloes. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
