Regular Season Round 36: NSH - Prawira 62-108
Date: May 24, 2023
No shocking result in a game when second ranked Prawira (18-2) crushed 13th ranked NSH (5-15) in Jakarta 108-62 on Wednesday. Prawira dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to NSH's 20. Prawira forced 19 NSH turnovers and outrebounded them 50-27 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by Dominican Brandone Francis (194-1994, college: Texas Tech) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and American center Jarred Shaw (211-1990, college: Utah St.) supported him with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Even 17 points and 5 rebounds by guard Andre Rorimpandey (177-1996) did not help to save the game for NSH. American power forward Jarrid Famous (209-1988, college: S.Florida, agency: BIG) added 8 points and 9 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Prawira have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 18-2 record having just one point less than leader Satria Muda, which they share with Pelita Jaya. NSH lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Evos Bogor. Prawira will meet at home Bima Perkasa (#5) in the next round. NSH will play against Satya Wacana (#15) in Salatiga and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
