Regular Season Round 34: Lioneers - Fubon Braves 88-94

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Lioneers (13-27) were defeated by second ranked Fubon Braves (25-15) 94-88 on Sunday. Fubon Braves made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American forward Michael Singletary (198-1988, college: Texas Tech) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import power forward Chris Johnson (210-1985, college: LSU) chipped in 12 points, 18 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side the former international power forward Will Artino (211-1992, college: Creighton) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds and point guard Kuo-Hao Kao (179-1998) scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Fubon Braves and five Lioneers players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Fubon Braves maintains second position with 25-15 record having just two points less than leader Kings. Loser Lioneers stay at the bottom place with 27 games lost.
