Regular Season Round 61: Kawasaki BT - Hitachi SRT 71-88

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Kawasaki BT (40-20) in Kanagawa on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Hitachi SRT (28-32) 88-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kawasaki BT. Hitachi SRT looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American Ryan Kelly (211-1991, college: Duke) stepped up and scored 25 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward James McAdoo (206-1993, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side the former international point guard Ryusei Shinoyama (178-1988) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and the former international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-1985, college: Nevada) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hitachi SRT maintains fourth place with 28-32 record. Kawasaki BT at the other side still keeps top position with 20 games lost.
