Regular Season Round 33: Fubon Braves - Steelers 103-120

Very important is a loss of second ranked Fubon Braves (24-15) against fifth ranked Steelers (16-22) on Saturday night. Fubon Braves were defeated by Steelers 120-103. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Fubon Braves' 40. Steelers forced 25 Fubon Braves turnovers. Strangely Fubon Braves outrebounded Steelers 50-36 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. Naturalized American point guard Jeremy Lin (191-1988, college: Harvard) nailed a triple-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 15 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and American center Wendell Lewis (208-1989, college: Alabama St.) accounted for 19 points and 9 rebounds. American power forward Chris Johnson (210-1985, college: LSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-1989, agency: BIG) added 18 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Fubon Braves in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fubon Braves' coach Chin-Tse Hsu rotated thirteen players seeing no chance for a win. Steelers maintains fifth place with 16-22 record. Fubon Braves at the other side keep the second position with 15 games lost. Steelers will play against higher ranked Dreamers (#4) in Changhua in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fubon Braves will play on the road against Lioneers in Hsinchu and hope to get back on the winning track.
