Regular Season Round 60: Yokohama BC - Toyama G. 89-95

There was a surprise result when seventh ranked Toyama G. (14-45) won against on the road second-best Yokohama BC (33-26) 95-89 on Saturday. Toyama G. made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American center Joshua Smith (208-1992, college: Georgetown) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and British forward Myles Hesson (198-1990, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 24 points and 8 rebounds. Four Toyama G. players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 21 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists by international guard Yuki Kawamura (169-2001) did not help to save the game for Yokohama BC. American Devin Oliver (204-1992, college: Dayton) added 23 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyama G. maintains seventh position with 14-45 record. Yokohama BC lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the second place with 26 games lost. Toyama G. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yokohama BC will play again against Toyama G. and hope to secure a win.
