Third-ranked Tochigi Brex (30-28) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Chiba Jets (53-6) on Saturday. The visitors from Chiba managed to secure only three-point victory 92-89. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Tochigi Brex. Chiba Jets made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import forward John Mooney (206-1998, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American center Grant Jerrett (208-1993, college: Arizona) replied with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Tongan-New Zealand Isaac Fotu (203-1993, college: Hawaii) added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Tochigi Brex. Four Chiba Jets and five Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Chiba Jets have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 53-6 record. Defending champion Tochigi Brex keeps the third place with 28 games lost.
