Regular Season Round 33: Lioneers - Pilots 78-89

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Lioneers (12-26) were defeated by third ranked Pilots (19-20) 89-78 on Friday. Pilots looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was international guard Chun-Hsiang Lu (190-1997) who scored 32 points. Palestinian power forward Sani Sakakini (204-1988) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. Pilots' coach Iurgi Caminos used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Will Artino (211-1992, college: Creighton) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds and American forward Jeremy Tyler (208-1991, college: Louisville) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Five Lioneers players scored in double figures. Pilots maintains third place with 19-20 record having eight points less than leader Kings. Lioneers lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 26 games lost. Pilots will meet Steelers (#5) in the next round. Lioneers will play against the league's second-placed Fubon Braves and hope to secure a win.
