Regular Season Round 32: Dreamers - Fubon Braves 107-89

The most important game in the last round was the one between second ranked Fubon Braves (23-14) and fourth ranked Dreamers (17-21) on Saturday night. Fubon Braves were defeated by Dreamers 89-107. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Fubon Braves' 38. They outrebounded Fubon Braves 61-36 including a 46-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dreamers looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dreamers made 11 blocks. Turkish Ilkan Karaman (205-1990, agency: Octagon Europe) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds. American center Brandon Gilbeck (213-1996, college: W.Illinois) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks for the winners. American forward Michael Singletary (198-1988, college: Texas Tech) replied with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import power forward Chris Johnson (210-1985, college: LSU) added 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Fubon Braves. Five Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dreamers maintains fourth position with 17-21 record. Fubon Braves at the other side keep the second place with 14 games lost. Dreamers are looking forward to face league's leader Kings in Taipei in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Fubon Braves will play at home against Pilots and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
