Regular Season Round 58: Hitachi SRT - Yokohama BC 95-91

There was a minor upset in Tokyo where much higher ranked Yokohama BC (33-24) was defeated by fourth ranked Hitachi SRT (26-31) 95-91 on Saturday. Hitachi SRT dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Yokohama BC's 38. American forward James McAdoo (206-1993, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds for the winners. The other American import forward Kevin Jones (206-1989, college: WVU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Four Hitachi SRT players scored in double figures. International guard Yuki Kawamura (169-2001) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 assists and American center Charles Jackson (208-1993, college: Tenn Tech) added 15 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Hitachi SRT maintains fourth position with 26-31 record, which they share with Osaka E. Loser Yokohama BC keeps the second place with 24 games lost. Hitachi SRT will again meet at home league's second-placed Yokohama BC in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Yokohama BC will have a break next round.
