Regular Season Round 58: Shiga L-Stars - Tochigi Brex 74-86

Very predictable result when third ranked Tochigi Brex (29-27) defeated on the road 8th ranked Shiga L-Stars (12-44) 86-74 on Saturday. American center Grant Jerrett (208-1993, college: Arizona) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The former international swingman Makoto Hiejima (190-1990) chipped in 16 points. American forward DeQuan Jones (203-1990, college: Miami, FL) produced 18 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Kai Toews (188-1998, college: UNCW) added 11 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tochigi Brex have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 29-27 record having ten points less than leader Ryukyu GK. Shiga L-Stars lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 44 games lost. Tochigi Brex will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Shiga L-Stars will play again against Tochigi Brex (#3) and hope to secure a win.
