Regular Season Round 28: Taiwan Beer - Yulon Luxgen 83-56

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Yulon Luxgen (18-10) against third ranked Taiwan Beer on Friday night. Taiwan Beer were rolled over by third ranked Taiwan Beer (13-15) 83-56. Taiwan Beer dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Yulon Luxgen's 34. They outrebounded Yulon Luxgen 48-27 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Qi-Min Lu (188-1989) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 19 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). Nigerian forward Gabriel Humphery (195-1997) contributed with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Pin-Chuan Chen (180-1998) replied with 17 points and the former international Bamba Sarr (200-1997) added 8 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Yulon Luxgen. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Taiwan Beer have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 13-15 record having five points less than leader Yulon Luxgen. Yulon Luxgen at the other side still keeps top place with ten games lost. Taiwan Beer are looking forward to face league's second-placed Bank of Taiwan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Yulon Luxgen will play against Changhua and is hoping to win this game.
