Very important is a road loss of third ranked Kumamoto V. (35-25) against seventh ranked Kagawa FA (16-44) on Sunday night. Visiting Kumamoto V. was defeated by Kagawa FA in a tough game in Takamatsu 73-79. Kagawa FA players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Australian center Angus Brandt (208-1989, college: Oregon St.) had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American-Filipino guard Roosevelt Adams (196-1998, college: Idaho Coll.) chipped in 15 points during the contest. At the losing side American center Jamel McLean (202-1988, college: Xavier) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Cherif Sow (201-1992) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kagawa FA maintains seventh position with 16-44 record. Kumamoto V. at the other side keeps the third place with 25 games lost.
