Regular Season Round 57: Kyoto H. - Shimane SM 87-82

Eleventh defeat of league's leader Shimane SM (45-11) against seventh ranked Kyoto H. (22-34) 87-82 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Shimane SM. The hosts trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 24-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Kyoto H. made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for American forward Jarrod Uthoff (203-1993, college: Iowa) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Canadian-Filipino guard Matthew Wright (193-1991, college: St.Bonaventure) contributed with 19 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Kyoto H. players scored in double figures. Kyoto H.'s coach Roy Rana used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Perrin Buford (198-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 7 assists and Australian Nick Kay (206-1992, college: MSU Denver) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Shimane SM. Kyoto H. moved-up to sixth place, which they share with FE Nagoya. Shimane SM at the other side still keeps top position with 11 games lost. They share it with Ryukyu GK. They were replaced at the leadership position by Ryukyu GK. Shimane SM will play next round against strong Hiroshima D. trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Kyoto H. will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Nagoya DD on the road.
