Regular Season Round 31: Steelers - Lioneers 113-88

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Lioneers' (12-22) loss to fifth ranked Steelers (15-21) 88-113 on Saturday. Steelers made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Lioneers turnovers and outrebounded them 50-39 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Steelers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for naturalized American point guard Jeremy Lin (191-1988, college: Harvard) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points and 5 rebounds. Jamaican-American power forward Femi Olujobi (206-1996, college: DePaul, agency: Slash Sports) helped adding 23 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Jeremy Tyler (208-1991, college: Louisville) responded with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international power forward Will Artino (211-1992, college: Creighton) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Five Steelers and four Lioneers players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Steelers. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Dreamers. Lioneers lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 22 games lost. Steelers will meet league's leader Kings in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lioneers will play against the league's second-placed Fubon Braves (#2) and hope to secure a win.
