Regular Season Round 26: Taiwan Beer - Bank of Taiwan 99-90

Very significant was Taiwan Beer's (#3, 11-15) victory against second-ranked Bank of Taiwan (15-11) 99-90. Taiwan Beer forced 19 Bank of Taiwan turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Bank of Taiwan was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international guard Qi-Min Lu (188-1989) notched a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Nigerian forward Gabriel Humphery (195-1997) supported him with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Four Taiwan Beer players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 9 rebounds by swingman You-Hsu Chen (195-1990) did not help to save the game for Bank of Taiwan. Forward Hsiang-Wei Pan (190-1994) added 18 points for Taiwan Beer. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Taiwan Beer maintains third position with 11-15 record having six points less than leader Yulon Luxgen. Bank of Taiwan at the other side keeps the second place with 11 games lost. Taiwan Beer will play against bottom-ranked Changhua (#4) at home in the next round. Bank of Taiwan will play against the league's leader Yulon Luxgen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
