Regular Season Round 56: Kawasaki BT - San-en NP 90-83

There was no surprise in Kanagawa where 6th ranked San-en NP (20-34) was defeated by first ranked Kawasaki BT (38-17) 90-83 on Saturday. Kawasaki BT made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 San-en NP turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-1985, college: Nevada) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and the former international point guard Yuma Fujii (178-1991) who added 23 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Kawasaki BT players scored in double figures. American center Kyle OQuinn (206-1990, college: Norfolk St., agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import center Isaiah Hicks (206-1994, college: UNC) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kawasaki BT have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 38-17 record. Loser San-en NP keeps the sixth place with 34 games lost. Kawasaki BT will again meet at home San-en NP (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. San-en NP will have a break next round.
