Regular Season Round 55: Nagoya DD - Shimane SM 83-93

The game between Top Four teams took place in Nagoya. 3rd placed host Nagoya DD (38-15) lost to first ranked Shimane SM (44-10) 93-83. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Nagoya DD. Shimane SM shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Seiya Ando (184-1992) who led the winners and scored 37 points (!!!). American forward Perrin Buford (198-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) accounted for 22 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. American power forward Scott Eatherton (206-1991, college: Northeastern) came up with 22 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Coty Clarke (201-1992, college: Arkansas) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for Nagoya DD in the defeat. Four Nagoya DD players scored in double figures. Shimane SM maintains first place with 44-10 record. Nagoya DD at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 15 games lost. Shimane SM will play against Kyoto H. (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Nagoya DD's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Nagoya to the arena FE Nagoya.
