Regular Season Round 55: Shinshu BW - Hitachi SRT 77-71

The game between third ranked Hitachi SRT (25-29) and fourth ranked Shinshu BW (25-28) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Hitachi SRT was defeated by Shinshu BW in a tough game in Nagano 71-77. 26 personal fouls committed by Hitachi SRT helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American Anthony McHenry (202-1983, college: Georgia Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Ko Kumagai (173-1996) helped adding 19 points and 4 assists. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Ryan Kelly (211-1991, college: Duke) responded with 31 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and the other American import forward James McAdoo (206-1993, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Hitachi SRT's coach Tsutomu Isa rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Shinshu BW moved-up to third place. Hitachi SRT at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 29 games lost. Shinshu BW are looking forward to face Hiroshima D. (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hitachi SRT will play against the league's second-placed Ryukyu GK in Okinawa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
