Regular Season Round 54: Chiba Jets - Hokkaido L. 80-54

Very expected game when 8th ranked Hokkaido L. (16-37) was smashed on the road by first ranked Chiba Jets (47-6) 80-54 on Sunday. American forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Christopher Smith (193-1994, college: Utah St.) supported him with 24 points. Even a double-double of 13 points and 16 rebounds by Australian power forward Samson Froling (212-2000, college: Creighton) did not help to save the game for Hokkaido L.. Point guard Shuto Terazono (165-1994) added 15 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chiba Jets have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 47-6 record. Hokkaido L. lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 37 games lost. Chiba Jets will meet Ibaraki R. (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. Hokkaido L. will play against Tochigi Brex and hope to secure a win.
