Regular Season Round 30: Kings - Steelers 85-92

Very important is a loss of first ranked Kings (24-10) against sixth ranked Steelers (13-21) on Sunday night. Kings were defeated by Steelers in a tough game 85-92. Steelers dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Kings' 30. Steelers forced 19 Kings turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Wendell Lewis (208-1989, college: Alabama St.) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized American point guard Jeremy Lin (191-1988, college: Harvard) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Chin-Min Yang (190-1984) who recorded 22 points and 4 assists and the former international forward Shih-Hsuan Su (197-1996) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kings' coach Ryan Marchand tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Steelers have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Loser Kings still keep top position with ten games lost. Steelers will meet bottom-ranked Lioneers (#6) in the next round. Kings will play again against Steelers (#5) in Kaohsiung and hope to secure a win.
