We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Tochigi Brex (26-27) rolled over on the road one of their biggest challengers Gunma CT (26-27) 82-57 on Sunday. Tongan-New Zealand Isaac Fotu (203-1993, college: Hawaii) notched 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and American center Grant Jerrett (208-1993, college: Arizona) supported him with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Even 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Trey McKinney-Jones (198-1990, college: Miami, FL) did not help to save the game for Gunma CT. His fellow American import center Kaleb Tarczewski (212-1993, college: Arizona) added 11 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Akita NH and Gunma CT. Tochigi Brex will meet at home Hokkaido L. (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Gunma CT will play against the league's second-placed Alvark Tokyo (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
