Regular Season Round 23: Taiwan Beer - Changhua 77-81

Very important is a loss of third ranked Taiwan Beer (9-14) against fourth ranked Changhua (8-15) on Saturday night. Taiwan Beer was defeated by Changhua in a tough game 77-81. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Julian Boyd (203-1990, college: LIU Brooklyn) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 21 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward En-Lin Chu (192-1997) accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Five Changhua players scored in double figures. American Tavarion Nix (201-1992, college: Midwestern St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Tzu-Kang Wang (183-1993) added 16 points respectively for Taiwan Beer in the defeat. Taiwan Beer's coach Chun-San Chou tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Changhua maintains fourth place with 8-15 record. Taiwan Beer lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the third position with 14 games lost. Changhua will play against league's leader Yulon Luxgen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Taiwan Beer will play against the league's second-placed Bank of Taiwan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
