Rather predictable result when Hoops won against Champville in Dik El Mehdi 94-80 on Thursday. Hoops dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Champville's 42. Hoops forced 21 Champville turnovers. Strangely Champville outrebounded Hoops 41-26 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. U.S. Virgin Islands forward Romani Hansen (203-1997, college: Albany) notched a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the effort and point guard Joseph Zaloum (180-1990) supported him with 21 points and 8 assists. Even a double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds by Ghassan Tacca did not help to save the game for Champville. The former international guard Jimmy Salem (190-1995) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
