Rather predictable result when first ranked Chiba Jets (45-6) defeated at home 3rd ranked Akita NH (25-26) 84-68 on Wednesday. Chiba Jets looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward John Mooney (206-1998, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. The other American import guard Christopher Smith (193-1994, college: Utah St.) chipped in 22 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. American center Steve Zack (211-1992, college: La Salle) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Takuya Nakayama (182-1994) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Chiba Jets have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 45-6 record. Loser Akita NH keeps the third place with 26 games lost. They share the position with Tochigi Brex and Gunma CT. Chiba Jets will meet at home Hokkaido L.
