Regular Season Round 29: Pilots - Dreamers 97-84

An interesting game for Pilots (16-17) which played against 4th placed Dreamers (14-19). Third ranked Pilots managed to get a 13-point victory 97-84. Pilots made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Dreamers turnovers and outrebounded them 61-47 including 20 on the offensive glass. Pilots looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American-Bulgarian center Jason Washburn (213-1990, college: Utah, agency: Pensack Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and American forward Jeff Ayres (206-1987, college: Arizona St., agency: Slash Sports) accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds. Pilots' coach Iurgi Caminos used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Chris McCullough (208-1995, college: Syracuse) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import center Brandon Gilbeck (213-1996, college: W.Illinois) added 13 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Dreamers in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pilots maintains third place with 16-17 record having seven points less than leader Kings. Dreamers lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 19 games lost. Pilots will again meet Dreamers (#4) in the next round. Dreamers will play against Lioneers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
