Regular Season Round 51: Kanazawa - Veertien Mie 78-60

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Ishikawa where eleventh ranked Kanazawa (17-35) defeated 10th ranked Veertien Mie (19-33) 78-60 on Sunday. Kanazawa made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Ukrainian point guard Igor Boyarkin (182-1995, agency: BIG) who scored 28 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Ukrainian forward Oleksandr Antypov (203-1995, agency: BIG) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Josh Martin (201-1995, college: Santa Clara) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 21 rebounds and center Dieye Sakamoto (206-1986) added 8 points and 6 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kanazawa maintains eleventh place with 17-35 record. Newly promoted Veertien Mie dropped to the ninth position with 33 games lost. They share it with Gifu.
