Regular Season Round 49: Yokohama BC - Hitachi SRT 82-72

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 3rd placed Hitachi SRT's (22-26) road loss to second ranked Yokohama BC (30-18) 72-82 on Wednesday. Yokohama BC outrebounded Hitachi SRT 44-33 including 34 on the defensive glass. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Center Charles Jackson (208-1993, college: Tenn Tech) fired a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Devin Oliver (204-1992, college: Dayton) chipped in a double-double by scoring 27 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Kevin Jones (206-1989, college: WVU) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists and Ryan Kelly (211-1991, college: Duke) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Hitachi SRT players scored in double figures. Hitachi SRT's coach Tsutomu Isa gave the chance to play for eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Yokohama BC maintains second place with 30-18 record behind leader Shimane SM. Loser Hitachi SRT keeps the third position with 26 games lost. They share it with Osaka E.. Yokohama BC will meet league's leader Kawasaki BT in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hitachi SRT will play against Niigata A. and hope to secure a win.
