There was a minor upset when second-best Alvark Tokyo (35-12) lost to fifth ranked Sea Horses M. (20-27) in Kariya 67-80 on Sunday. The winners were led by American power forward Davante Gardner (203-1991, college: Marquette) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Quincy Miller-Scott (206-1992, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) supported him with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Sea Horses M. players scored in double figures. Sea Horses M.'s coach Kimikazu Suzuki used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 13 points and 6 assists by Spanish Sebastian Saiz (205-1994, college: Ole Miss) did not help to save the game for Alvark Tokyo. Swingman Zack Baranski (193-1992) added 16 points. Sea Horses M. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 20-27 record, which they share with FE Nagoya. Alvark Tokyo lost third consecutive game. They keep the second place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Hiroshima D..
