The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Golden Bulls (34-6) in Hangzhou on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by fifth ranked Sharks (25-16) 112-88. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Golden Bulls. Sharks dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Golden Bulls' 46 and made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Sharks forced 25 Golden Bulls turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Golden Bulls helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Eric Bledsoe (185-1989, college: Kentucky) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. The former international center Zhelin Wang (214-1994) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Sharks players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Qian Wu (188-1994) replied with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Moses Wright (206-1998, college: Georgia Tech) added 8 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Golden Bulls. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sharks maintains fifth position with 25-16 record. Golden Bulls at the other side still keep top place with six games lost. Sharks are looking forward to face Royal Fighters (#16) in Beijing in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Golden Bulls will play on the road against Heroes (#8) in Jinan and are hoping to win this game.
