Regular Season Round 47: Sendai 89ers - FE Nagoya 76-74

A very close game took place in Sendai between Sendai 89ers and FE Nagoya. Sixth ranked Sendai 89ers (16-30) got a very close home victory over 5th ranked FE Nagoya (20-26). Sendai 89ers managed to escape with a 2-point win 76-74 on Saturday evening. Sendai 89ers dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to FE Nagoya's 28. Forward Jeremy Jones (201-1996, college: Gonzaga) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Johnathan Williams III (206-1995, college: Gonzaga) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Newly promoted Sendai 89ers maintains sixth place with 16-30 record. FE Nagoya lost their fourth game in a row. FE Nagoya at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth position with 26 games lost. They share it with Osaka E.. Sendai 89ers will again meet at home higher ranked FE Nagoya (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. FE Nagoya will have a break next round.
