Regular Season Round 28: Kings - Pilots 90-87

Third-ranked Pilots (15-16) made lots of trouble for first ranked Kings (23-8) in Taipei. Kings managed to secure only three-point victory 90-87. However their fans expected easier game. Kings forced 27 Pilots turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Pilots were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Kenny Manigault (195-1991, college: Pikeville) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international power forward Quincy Davis (203-1983, college: Tulane) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. American forward Jeff Ayres (206-1987, college: Arizona St., agency: Slash Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and international Hung-Han Huang (192-1994) added 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Pilots. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kings maintains first position with 23-8 record. Pilots lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the third place with 16 games lost. Kings will again play against Pilots (#3) in Taoyuan in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Pilots will play at home against Dreamers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
