Regular Season Round 28: Dreamers - Fubon Braves 96-100
Date: April 1, 2023
There was no surprise when 4th ranked Dreamers (14-18) were defeated by second ranked Fubon Braves (20-12) 100-96 on Saturday. Fubon Braves outrebounded Dreamers 59-42 including 44 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-1989, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Michael Singletary (198-1988, college: Texas Tech) who added 25 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American forward Chris McCullough (208-1995, college: Syracuse) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import center Brandon Gilbeck (213-1996, college: W.Illinois) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 blocks. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Fubon Braves have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 20-12 record having just two points less than leader Kings. Loser Dreamers keep the fourth place with 18 games lost. Fubon Braves will meet bottom-ranked Steelers (#6) in the next round. Dreamers will play against Pilots in Taoyuan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
