Regular Season Round 47: Tochigi Brex - Hitachi SRT 78-64

There was a minor upset when 3rd placed Hitachi SRT (21-25) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Tochigi Brex (24-22) 78-64 on Saturday. It was a great evening for American center Grant Jerrett (208-1993, college: Arizona) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Tongan-New Zealand Isaac Fotu (203-1993, college: Hawaii) helped adding 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Kevin Jones (206-1989, college: WVU) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward James McAdoo (206-1993, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Gunma CT. Hitachi SRT lost their third game in a row. They keep the third position with 25 games lost. They share it with Shinshu BW. Tochigi Brex will again meet at home Hitachi SRT (#4) in the next round. Hitachi SRT will have a break next round.
