The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Dreamers' (14-16) victory over 5th ranked Lioneers (11-18) 116-103 on Sunday. They outrebounded Lioneers 59-42 including a 47-30 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dreamers looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dreamers made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was American center Brandon Gilbeck (213-1996, college: W.Illinois) who had a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 17 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 16-of-18 shooting from the field). Turkish Ilkan Karaman (205-1990, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 blocks. Four Dreamers players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jeremy Tyler (208-1991, college: Louisville) who recorded a double-double by scoring 32 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Kuo-Hao Kao (179-1998) added 30 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dreamers have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 14-16 record. Loser Lioneers keep the fifth position with 18 games lost. Dreamers will meet bottom-ranked Steelers (#6) in the next round. Lioneers will play against the league's leader Kings in Taipei and hope to secure a win.
