Regular Season Round 50: Aomori W. - Chiba 65-82

B2 League top team - Chiba (40-12) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they beat fifth ranked Aomori W. (24-28) 82-65. Chiba looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American Brandon Ashley (206-1994, college: Arizona) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import power forward Evan Ravenel (204-1989, college: Ohio St.) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Five Chiba players scored in double figures. American forward Alex Davis (206-1992, college: Fresno St., agency: Diamond Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Keisuke Aita (182-1995) added 12 points and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Chiba maintains first position with 40-12 record, which they share with Saga B. Aomori W. at the other side keeps the fifth place with 28 games lost. Chiba will meet at home Kumamoto V. (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Aomori W. will have a break next round.
