Regular Season Round 46: Tochigi Brex - San-en NP 56-59

A very close game took place in Tochigi between San-en NP and Tochigi Brex. Sixth ranked San-en NP (17-28) got a very close victory on the road over 3rd ranked Tochigi Brex (23-22). San-en NP managed to escape with a 3-point win 59-56 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tochigi Brex. American center Kyle OQuinn (206-1990, college: Norfolk St., agency: Pensack Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Filipino guard Ferdinand Ravena (189-1996) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Tongan-New Zealand Isaac Fotu (203-1993, college: Hawaii) produced 8 points and 9 rebounds and the former international swingman Makoto Hiejima (190-1990) added 16 points respectively for lost side. San-en NP maintains sixth position with 17-28 record, which they share with Kyoto H. Defending champion Tochigi Brex dropped to the fourth place with 22 games lost. They share the position with Akita NH. San-en NP will meet at home Toyama G. (#7) in the next round. Tochigi Brex will play against Hitachi SRT and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
