Very expected game when 6th ranked Steelers (8-21) were defeated by second ranked Fubon Braves (18-12) 101-95 on Saturday. Fubon Braves looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-1989, agency: BIG) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Michael Singletary (198-1988, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Fubon Braves' coach Chin-Tse Hsu used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Wendell Lewis (208-1989, college: Alabama St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and naturalized American point guard Jeremy Lin (191-1988, college: Harvard) added 22 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Five Fubon Braves and four Steelers players scored in double figures. Fubon Braves maintains second place with 18-12 record having three points less than leader Kings. Loser Steelers stay at the bottom position with 21 games lost. Fubon Braves will meet Pilots (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
