Regular Season Round 46: Iwate - Tachikawa 82-46

Leader Iwate delivered the 40th win on Saturday night. This time they crushed 14th ranked Tachikawa (12-35) 82-46. Iwate dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Tachikawa's 22. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Tachikawa's players. Beninese power forward Muusa Dama (207-1996, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Guard Shuhei Komatsu (185-1985) chipped in 16 points. Point guard Jota Machii (182-1999) produced 12 points and American forward Scott Blakney (203-1998, college: Montana) added 2 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Iwate maintains first position with 40-7 record. Tachikawa lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifteenth place with 35 games lost. Iwate are again looking forward to face Tachikawa (#15) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Tachikawa will have a break next round.
