Regular Season Round 45: Kawasaki BT - Ibaraki R. 92-85

Very expected game when 7th ranked Ibaraki R. (15-29) lost to first ranked Kawasaki BT (28-16) in Kanagawa 85-92 on Saturday. Kawasaki BT made 21-of-21 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-1985, college: Nevada) nailed 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and American power forward Jordan Heath (208-1991, college: Canisius, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 17 points and 11 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). American Eric Jacobsen (208-1994, college: Arizona St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Thomas Kennedy (201-1987, college: Detroit) added 22 points respectively for Ibaraki R. in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Kawasaki BT. They maintain first place with 28-16 record. Ibaraki R. lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with 29 games lost. They share it with Sendai 89ers. Kawasaki BT will again meet at home Ibaraki R. (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Ibaraki R. will have a break next round.
