Regular Season Round 48: Kagawa FA - Saga B. 79-77

Top ranked Saga B. (38-12) recorded its twelfth loss in Takamatsu on Wednesday night. Visitors were edged by seventh ranked Kagawa FA (14-36) 79-77. Kagawa FA forced 19 Saga B. turnovers and outrebounded them 42-25 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Australian forward Rhys Vague (206-1996) who scored 22 points and 9 rebounds. American Kyle Richardson (200-1991, college: Portland St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Takanobu Nishikawa (195-1992) who recorded 24 points and 6 assists and American Chase Fieler (202-1992, college: FGCU) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Four Saga B. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kagawa FA moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Bambitious N. Saga B. lost fifth consecutive game. They still keep top position with 12 games lost. Kagawa FA is looking forward to face league's second-placed Nagasaki on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Saga B. will play against Yamagata and is hoping to win this game.
