Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Eagles (16-22) and Sturgeons (10-26), which took place in Jinjiang. Higher ranked Eagles lost to eighteenth ranked Sturgeons in a road game 86-95 on Wednesday. Sturgeons dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Eagles' 42. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Bulgarian-American point guard Darius Adams (188-1989, college: Indianapolis) nailed 35 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and point guard Yiyang Li (181-1998) accounted for 12 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. American point guard Eugene German (183-1997, college: NIU) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Jiayi Zhao (205-1999) added 27 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Eagles in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sturgeons moved-up to seventeenth place. Eagles lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 22 games lost. They share it with Jiangsu D.. Sturgeons will meet at home higher ranked Long-Lions (#11) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Eagles will play against Ducks and hope to secure a win.
