Regular Season Round 44: Akita NH - Tochigi Brex 63-73

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when one of their biggest challengers Akita NH (22-21) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Tochigi Brex (22-21) 73-63 on Wednesday. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Makoto Hiejima (190-1990) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 assists and American power forward Josh Scott (208-1993, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) who added 10 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. American center Steve Zack (211-1992, college: La Salle) responded with 9 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Takuya Nakayama (182-1994) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Akita NH. Tochigi Brex will meet at home San-en NP (#6) in the next round. Akita NH will play against Gunma CT and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
